About this talk

The endocannabinoid system has emerged as a major target for addressing inflammatory dysregulation, including neuroinflammatory and hypersensitivity issues. Cannabidiol (CBD) has been shown in both laboratory and clinical settings to be an incredibly effective tool in autism protocols through its effects in calming neural and immune activation, as well as the autonomic nervous system. However, low, variable, and slow absorption rates make it difficult to predict the efficacy of any dosage. Nanoparticle delivery systems increase absorption of CBD and narrow the window of resultant blood levels and timing of effects. Additionally, the rapid uptake from these delivery systems allows CBD to be delivered prior to any other therapy so that pacifying effects of CBD can allow other therapies to be more effective. This talk will describe the essential points of the endocannabinoid system, how CBD acts on it, and how nano deliveries increase efficacy and allow efficient staging of protocols.
