In June 2018, Taylor & Francis published my article "A lowered probability of pregnancy in females in the USA aged 25 to 29 who received a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine injection". The analysis found that women who received the HPV shot were less likely to have ever been pregnant than those who had not received the vaccination. Although the paper had gone through extensive peer review before publication, T&F decided to take the extremely unusual step of sending it to four post-publication reviewers. In this talk, I will discuss the original findings of the paper as well as the time-line of the retraction and my responses to the post-publication reviews.
