Dr Heather Way (PhD), is a passionate ASD researcher, clinician and ASD Mum. Dr Way was highly driven to help her own ASD son who was vaccine damaged and still non-verbal in diapers at 7 years old. Following years of intense therapies, she was often urged by specialists to institutionalise him. In 2012, with the advent of nutrigenomics and microbiome sequencing, Dr Way was able to combine her three great passions of genetics, nutrition and Autism. Years of painstaking research have resulted in a protocol delivering personalised nutrition which has helped recover her son and help hundreds of other ASD children reach their full potential. Dr Way is the founder and Director of “The Australian Centre for Genomic Analysis”. Dr Way has helped develop the world’s first dedicated Autism nutrigenomic panel and a dedicated Autism IBS microbiome sequencing test. Financial disclosure: Dr Way is on the scientific board of Directors for Victus Health, SmartDNA, Fitgenes, IntellxxDNA and Nourishing Hope, though has received no remuneration for these positions.
