Alexander Ring has participated in the exploration and development of novel brain imaging and brain stimulation technologies throughout his career. He discovered and characterized neurological markers for various psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders at UC Irvine's Center for Neuropsychiatry. In 2009 he joined Newport Brain Research Laboratory and Brain Treatment Center, where he developed and advanced the administration of noninvasive EEG and EKG-guided brain stimulation. In 2019 he joined Wave Neurosciences as Senior Scientist to further research and development of multi-modal brain stimulation and imaging technologies. Alex interfaces with neurologists, pediatricians, psychiatrists and specialists at clinics delivering brain stimulation in the United States and around the world. He has engaged in clinical trials with these brain stimulation technologies, serving as an electrophysiology specialist in pilot studies, double-blinded studies and FDA-grade trials. Alex is interested in furthering insights into brain function and innovating therapeutic treatments that impact populations on the global scale.
